PACIFIC OCEAN (April 26, 2021) Sailors assigned to Independence-variant littoral combat ship USS Tulsa (LCS 16) conduct a foreign object damage (FOD) walk down on the ship’s flight deck prior to flight operations. FOD is known as any debris that can be sucked up into the intake of an aircraft and cause damages or mishaps. Tulsa is currently operating as part of U.S. 3rd Fleet.
