Brig. Gen. Kristin French (Ret.) served as a Lt. Col. and as a commander for the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment Support Squadron at Fort Carson, Colorado, during Operation Iraqi Freedom. She was the first female officer to command a cavalry squadron in combat and took part in a virtual meeting with over 30 Troopers to provide mentorship as part of the unit's Sisters in Arms Program.
