Brothers in service, Sgt. Pete Garner (left), of the 211th Military Police Company, and 1st Sgt. Benjamin Garner, of Headquarters and Headquarters and Company, 130th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, participate as members of Joint Task Force-Panther, a North Carolina National Guard mission, Aug. 25 to Sept. 8, which supported the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C. The two live in Waynesville, N.C., and had the Army values instilled in them at an early age by their father, who retired with 34 years of selfless service in the National Guard. Benjamin was the first sergeant of the 211th Military Police Company until January 2012, where his lead his brother, Pete, for the first three years of his military career.
