FORT CARSON, Colo. — Lt. Col Ranjini T. Danaraj, commander, 759th MP Battalion, and director of emergency services, pins Police Chief Christopher Zimmerman the Meritorious Public Service Medal during a ceremony in his honor March 24, 2021, at the Fort Carson Main Fire Station on Fort Carson, Colorado. Zimmerman retired after 42 years of combined military and civilian service to the federal government. Zimmerman’s ceremony took place in front of friends, family and colleagues. His last official day was March 31, 2021, and he plans to spend his retirement with his wife, Karen, and traveling to visit his children. (Photo by Aleah M. Castrejon)
