(April 28, 2021) Engineman 3rd Class Connor Steele, from Scottsdale, Ariz., assigned to Beach Master Unit (BMU) 1, uses hand signals to guide a Stryker armored vehicle during ship to shore operations with amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2), April 28. Sailors and Marines of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) are conducting routine training off the coast of southern California.
