U.S. Marines with Force Reconnaissance Platoon (FRP), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), receive a safety brief before kicking off an underwater navigation course at Kin Blue, Okinawa, Japan, April 28, 2021. FRP conducted diving repetitions to maintain proficiency and currency as combatant divers. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
