    The 26th Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard Adm. Karl Schultz presents the U.S. flag to Melinda Gilbert during the funeral service of Gilbert's husband, U.S. Coast Guard Rear Adm. Marshall E. Gilbert, in Section 33 of Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia, May 6, 2021.

    Rear Adm. Gilbert was a distinguished leader in the U.S. Coast Guard and helped create the technical standards for electronic communications, navigation, and distress alerting used worldwide.
