U.S. Air Force contractor Zach Grandin, an 88th Operations Support Squadron weather technician, studies forecasting models inside the Base Weather Station at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio on March 2, 2021. Grandin is current bowling pin trophy holder for the most consistent, accurate forecasts. The Base Weather Station operates with ten contactors, around the clock and supports the aviation mission through briefs, observations and forecasts, and the resource protection mission through watches, warnings and advisories.
