GULF OF TADJOURA (May 13, 2021) U.S. Coast Guard Lt. Cmdr. Sean Carothers, from Pendleton Ore. assigned to Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron Eleven (MSRON-11) keeps watch while escorting the Charles Moulthrope, Coast Guard Patrol Craft (WPC 1141) and Robert Goldman (WPC 1142), Coast Guard Sentinel-class cutters (USCGC) to the pier after an at sea refueling, while in the Gulf of Tadjoura on May 13, 2021.2021. The Maritime Expeditionary Security Forces protect U.S. ships around the clock in port, or while transiting into harbors around the world. MSRON-11 is stationed at Camp Lemonnier and covers traffic in and around the Port of Djibouti. Charles Moulthrope and Robert Goldman are traveling to their new forward-deployed homeport in Bahrain to replace decommissioning island-class patrol boats as part of the U.S. Coast Guard’s Patrol Forces Southwest Asia (PATFORSWA).
