Florida National Guard Spc. Ryan Ginnow is a Fire Support Specialist from the 1st Detachment, 2-116th Headquarters and Headquarters Battery. He unloads his gear as he arrives in Bathor, Albania, May 16, 2021. This is the first time Ginnow has been overseas but says, "Coming into country it was beautiful seeing the different scenery, I'm really looking forward to this experience."
Soldiers will be partnering with Albanian Armed Forces during Exercise Immediate Response 21, which is a logistics-focused exercise to improve the movement of forces and equipment. Immediate Response 21 is part of DEFENDER-Europe 21, which is a large-scale multinational exercise allowing soldiers to train with militaries of partner nations, learn new skills, and improve joint interoperability.
