An Expedient Mobile Refueling Additive Capability (EMFAC) is used during a practical application on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, May 12, 2021. The EMFAC allows the use of any fuels that do not meet Marine Corps specifications to be processed and used quickly and efficiently. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
