U.S. Marines with Marine Air Support Squadron 3 (MASS-3), Marine Aircraft Group 38, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward) in support of Regimental Combat Team 6, plan where wire to a PTM-100, a portable communications tower, will be buried on Camp Leatherneck, Helmand province, Afghanistan Sept. 15, 2012. Marines used the tower to replace two Tactical Elevated Antenna Mast Systems due to its more stable structure.
