U.S. Marines and sailors with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), discuss a plan of execution while conducting on and off drills on a MV-22 in support of MEUEX at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, on May 17, 2021. The Marines and sailors timed themselves to see how quickly and efficiently they off load and on load aircrafts for future inserts. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
