Sagan Barber, a Wisner, Nebraska native and clinical nurse with the 60th Healthcare Operations Squadron stationed at Travis Air Force Base, California, dons her personal protective equipment in order to prepare a syringe for the COVID-19 vaccine at the state-led, federally-supported Roosevelt High School COVID-19 Community Vaccination Center (CVC) in Gary, Indiana, May 24, 2021. Barber used her skills as a nurse to aid a victim in motorcycle accident on May 22, 2021. She assessed the injured rider and made sure he stayed conscious and as comfortable as possible before the paramedics arrived.
