Angel Garciavasquez, motor transport operator with 3d Landing Support Battalion, 3d Marine Logistics Group (MLG), ground guides an MK23 Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement with an MK593 trailer during a Motor Transportation Training and Readiness Rodeo hosted by Combat Logistics Regiment 3 on Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, May 26, 2021. The purpose of the Motor Transportation Rodeo is to allow Motor Transport Marines across 3d MLG to demonstrate and develop their technical skills. 3d MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward deployed combat unit that serves as III MEF’s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
