CARTHAGE, Tunisia (May 27, 2021) Rear Adm. Jeffrey S. Spivey, vice commander, U.S. Sixth Fleet, participates in a wreath laying ceremony to commemorate Memorial Day at the North Africa American Cemetery, American Battle Monuments Commission. The ceremony was in conjunction with a cultural tour hosted by the Tunisian Navy as a way for U.S. participants in exercise Phoenix Express 2021 to learn about Tunisian culture and heritage in Carthage, Tunisia, May 27, 2021. Exercise Phoenix Express 2021, conducted by U.S. Naval Forces Africa, is a maritime exercise designed to improve cooperation among participating nations in order to increase maritime safety and security in the Mediterranean.
