Bruce Gillingham, chief of Bureau of Medicine and Surgery and Surgeon General of the Navy, met with Air Force Brig. Gen. Caroline Miller, commander of the 502d Air Base Wing and Joint Base San Antonio, to discuss how the Navy and Air Force work together to care for medical students assigned at Fort Sam Houston. During Gillingham's visit to the San Antonio area, he met with local leaders from the Army and Air Force, toured Navy facilities in the area, and met with Sailors to discuss the future of Navy Medicine.
