PACIFIC OCEAN (April 28, 2021) U.S. Marines with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit take off in an MV-22B Osprey assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 165 (Reinforced), 11th MEU, from amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) for a tactical recovery of aircraft and personnel exercise, April 28. The Marines and Sailors of the 11th MEU and Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) are underway conducting integrated training off the coast of southern California.
