U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Andrew M. Rohling, Southern European Task Force, Africa Commander waits to jump out of a C-130 Hercules for a sustained airborne operation into Juliette Drop Zone on June 3, 2021. A sustainment airborne operation is a type of jump that ensures all paratroopers stay qualified and familiar with the tactics, techniques and procedures of the T-11 parachute.
The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the U.S. Army’s Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing rapidly deployable forces to the United States European, Africa and Central Command areas of responsibility.
