210602-A-MU580-1136 ARABIAN GULF (June 2, 2021) - Patrol boat USCGC Adak (WPB 1304), left, and patrol coastal ship USS Tempest (PC 2) operate in formation during an air operations in support of maritime surface warfare (AOMSW) exercise in the Arabian Gulf, June 2. Adak and Tempest are deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three critical choke points to the free flow of global commerce.
