The final flight of Soldiers with 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, ‘The Iron Brigade’, 1st Armored Division were welcomed home by family members and senior leadership during a ceremony near the brigade’s footprint on June 6, 2021. Approximately 200 Soldiers made up of elements of 1st Battalion, 35th Armored Regiment; 1st Battalion, 6th Infantry Regiment, and 47th Brigade Support Battalion made the journey back to Fort Bliss from U.S. Army Central Command area of responsibility in support of Operation Spartan Shield.
