Navy Lodge North Island, California, and most other Navy Lodges are accepting reservations for leisure travel on a space available basis. In Spring 2020, Navy Lodges began restricting leisure travel as its locations were used to accommodate guests placed on restriction of movement orders by their commands due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) is comprised of 14,000 personnel worldwide facilitating six business lines, NEX retail stores, the Navy Lodge Program, Telecommunications Program, Navy Clothing and Textile Research Facility, Ships Store Program and the Uniform Program Management Office.
