Sgt. Nicholas Vargas, an air defense command, control and communications operator assigned to the Battery E, 5th Battalion, 52nd Air Missile Defense Regiment, 11th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, shares a kiss with his wife Kristen after returning home from a yearlong deployment to Afghanistan during a welcome home ceremony at the Departure/Arrival Airfield Control Group on Biggs Army Airfield, Aug. 23.
