A Special Tactics Airman from the 26th Special Tactics Squadron jumps out of the back of an MC-130J Commando II aircraft from the 9th Special Operations Squadron during a training flight over Clovis, N.M., June 2, 2021. Static line jumps are often utilized to unload a large group of service members in one general area. The parachute deploys immediately upon exit of the aircraft, allowing the service members more time to control their parachute while in the air.
