CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti (June 5, 2021) U.S. Navy Lt Ryan Nugent, Training Officer, from Spokane, Wash., left, simulates taking cover behind the vehicle, as Boatswains Mate 1st Class Zachary Rogers, Convoy Training Team Lead, from Castle Rock, Colo., calls a training time out to replace a loose pin on the trailer hitch during Unit Level Training Certification (UCTRA-C) drills designed to qualify new convoy command training team members.
Both Sailors are members of Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron Eleven (MSRON-11), which spent the day practicing convoy operations at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti on June 5, 2021.
Camp Lemonnier is an operational installation that enables U.S., allied and partner nation forces to be where and when they are needed to ensure security in Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia.As per the Camp Lemonnier Memo of 19 June 2021, the use of masks on camp is relaxed for those individuals who have been vaccinated.
