Meet U.S. Army Pfc. Anthony DeLaTorre, an air and missile defense crewmember from the 5th Battalion, 4th Air Defense Artillery Regiment.
Deployed to the Central Training Area near Varpalota, Hungary, DeLaTorre provides short range air defense by scanning the skies and providing early defense engagement in his Avenger air defense system.
“We had a lot of new faces that came out here. At the end of the day we talked to each other and had good communication,” said DeLaTorre of his team. “We definitely worked together.”
DeLaTorre, a native of Austin, Texas, said respect is his favorite Army value.
“It all comes down to respecting yourself first. Once you get to know yourself, respect yourself to the fullest; you understand a way to respect everyone else and work well with others.”
