U.S. Marines with Maritime Raid Force (MRF), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), learn how to utilize a Skedco stretcher for casualty evacuation scenarios, on the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) in the Philippine Sea, June 12, 2021. Marines with the 31st MEU regularly exercise their basic medical skills during casualty evacuation scenarios to maintain proficiency and readiness. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of America Ready Group in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
