A field ambulance rushes simulated patients to a combat hospital during Global Medic at Fort Hunter-Liggett, Calif. in June 2021. Soldiers from the Army Reserve's 807th Medical Command (Deployment Support) and Sailors from a Navy Reserve Expeditionary Medical Facility are working as joint force and taking part in a multi-day field training exercise that simulates a real-world combat deployment in an austere environment. The Medical Readiness Training Command executes Global Medic as part of the Army Reserve Medical Command's larger mission to provide trained, equipped, and combat ready units and medical personnel to support the total force on the battlefields of today and tomorrow.
