Sailors assigned to Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit 2 transport Navy Diver 3rd Class Phillip Hoefer into a transportable recompression chamber during a training exercise at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek - Fort Story, Sept. 20. MDSU is capable of planning, coordinating, directing and conducting anti-terrorism force protection missions, disaster relief efforts, battle damage repair, underwater search operations, harbor and waterway clearance, emergent underwater repairs and salvage operations.
