A U.S. Marine with Force Reconnaissance Platoon, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), sights into his M1110 semi-automatic sniper system to provide security while a CH-53E Super Stallion reaches a landing zone for Marines with the Battalion Landing Team, 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines (BLT 3/5), to conduct a Maritime Interdiction Operation (MIO) training exercise in the East China Sea, June 14, 2021. The MIO consisted of Force Reconnaissance Marines fast roping on to the USS New Orleans (CA-31) and executing a search and seizure scenario.
