Gunnery Sgt. Christopher Caraballo clears dead trees and debris from a ditch along County Road 18 on June 15th, 2021 in Corpus Christi, Texas. The drainage channel has overgrown and been victim of illegal dumping causing flooding over the road which is the main outlet for neighborhoods and the surrounding fields. The work is being done as part of Colonias 21, a project from the Innovative Readiness Training program that gives military units hands-on training experience while benefiting local communities.
