JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (May 19, 2021) - Hospitalman Gregory Klutz checks a patient’s ear at Naval Hospital Jacksonville’s Audiology Clinic. Klutz, a native of Leesburg, Georgia, says, “Ear canal health is an important part of overall readiness. We check for any infection or buildup which could impact hearing.” The Navy’s Hospital Corps celebrates 123 years of service on June 17. Hospital Corpsmen take a pledge to faithfully perform all of their duties, to hold the care of the sick and injured to be a privilege and sacred trust, and assist the medical officer with loyalty and honesty.
