U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. David Wilson provides corrective instructions to a group of Marines during the culminating event of a Martial Arts Instructor Course administered by Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 271 at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, June 11, 2021. The Martial Arts Instructor Course is a demanding three-week course that is designed to certify Marines to instruct other Marines in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program. Wilson, a native of Camden, New Jersey, served as the Martial Arts Instructor Trainer for the course. His primary duty is the senior enlisted advisor/drafting and surveying chief for Engineer Company, MWSS-271, a subordinate unit of 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, which is the aviation combat element of II Marine Expeditionary Force.
