U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Dennis Dorrance, 37th Airlift Squadron instructor loadmaster (right), U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Collin Braun, 435th Contingency Response Group team lead (middle) and U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Lance Munsee, 435th CRG team lead (left), adjust an approach shoring ramp before loading an MJ-1 munitions loader onto a C-130J Super Hercules in support of an Agile Combat Employment event during Exercise African Lion 21 on Ben Guerir Air Base, Morocco, 16 June 2021. The munitions loader can directly move munitions from the aircraft to the munitions loading crew to arm the F-16 Fighting Falcon in austere locations.

African Lion is U.S. Africa Command’s largest, premier, joint, annual exercise hosted by Morocco, Tunisia and Senegal, 7-18 June. More than 7,000 participants from nine nations and NATO train together with a focus on enhancing readiness for U.S. and partner nation forces. AL21 is a multi-domain, multi-component, and multi-national exercise, which employs a full array of mission capabilities with the goal to strengthen interoperability among participants.
