Elizabeth Awodele, Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) San Diego's Comprehensive Combat and Complex Casualty Care (C5) department head (right), examine prosthetic limbs during a tour of the hospital's facilities June 18. Whitburn toured the hospital to gain familiarization of the hospital's capabilities and examine new technologies. NMRTC San Diego’s mission is to prepare service members to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver high quality healthcare services and shape the future of military medicine through education, training and research.
