U.S. Army Soldiers and U.S. Air Force Airmen with the California National Guard participated in BURN EX 2021, an incident awareness assessment exercise, with CAL FIRE, NASA, National Guard Bureau, and other partner agencies, at McClellan Park in (formerly McClellan Air Base) Sacramento, California, June 9, 2021. The exercise consisted of using a Cal Guard MQ-9 Reaper and other aerial assets to monitor a controlled burn at Camp Pendleton.
