Airmen from the 56th CONS participated in a three-day Contingency Contracting Officer exercise that provided contracting Airmen training on tasks such as writing contracts and customer service to prepare them for future deployments. The 56th CONS awards more than $50 million annually in appropriated and non-appropriated funded contracts and manages more than $200 million in contracts supporting the 56th Fighter Wing; it also trains, equips and deploys Contingency Contracting officers worldwide for U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Forces.
