Specialist Nickolas Yess, an engineer with the Mankato, Minn., based 492nd Engineer Company, smooths the ground surrounding a recently emplaced concrete abutment that is part of the line of communications bridge site at Fort McCoy, Wis., June 23, 2021. Construction work on the site will continue through July and a proof of concept exercise will validate it for future use by other Army Reserve bridge building units.
