YOKOSUKA, Japan (June 26, 2021) — Families are doused with multi-colored powder during the first annual Pride March and Festival at Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY) held in recognition of LGBTQ community members serving in the armed forces. The celebration event was spearheaded by junior Sailors from U.S. Naval Hospital Yokosuka and the CFAY multicultural committee and included a colorful march, support service booths, games, music, food, and refreshments at Kosano Park, onboard CFAY. For more than 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
