Airmen from the 18th Civil Engineer Group use an excavator with a hammer attachment to break up debris during a rapid airfield damage repair exercise at Kadena Air Base, Japan, June 23, 2021. Once the concrete is broken up, the Airmen will clear the debris and fill the damaged portion of the airfield with fresh concrete. RADR is a six-step assembly line process designed to quickly repair airfields when attacked. (U.S. Air Force Photo by Airman 1st Class Stephen Pulter)
