U.S. Army Capt. Jacob Melendez, Sagami Depot’s Logistics Task Force Officer-in-Charge, and U.S. Army Master Sgt. Roberto Vieyra, Sagami Depot Logistics Task Force noncommissioned officer-in-charge, hold the 40th Infantry Division challenge coins they received for their outstanding support to the unit at Camp Sagami on June 16. 40th Infantry Division was at Sagami Depot, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, to complete their 14-day restriction of movement prior to their participation in Orient Shield 21-2.
Orient Shield is the largest U.S. Army and Japan Ground Self-Defense Force bilateral field training exercise being executed in various locations throughout Japan to enhance interoperability and test and refine multi-domain and cross-domain operations.
