U.S. Army Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC) engineers and technicians are putting the Army’s prototype Robotic Combat Vehicles, both Light and Heavy-Surrogate variants, through shakedown testing at Camp Grayling, Mich., in preparation for the Phase II Soldier Operational Experiment in summer of 2022. The current focus is on platform autonomy and integration of modular mission payloads such as the tethered Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). GVSC and Next Generation Combat Vehicles Cross Functional Team are using Soldier Touchpoints, such as the SOE, to drive the Army’s Campaign of Learning with RCVs.
