Students of the Guam National Guard's Modern Army Combatives Program learn grappling, submissions, striking techniques and more, at the 203rd Regional Training Institute in Dededo on April 23.
"Combatives is important to the Army because it encourages Soldiers to step out of their comfort zone to learn skills that are not only practical in combat situations, but also can be applied in our everyday lives," said Sgt. Kenji Okiyama, instructor.
