A Soldier assigned to 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, shares a laugh with a member of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force during an ultimate Frisbee tournament between Soldiers assigned to 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, and JGSDF members on Aibano Training Area, Japan, July 2, 2021. Soldiers and members of the JGSDF participated in the tournament in a short break from training during exercise Orient Shield. Orient Shield is the largest U.S. Army and JGSDF bilateral field training exercise being executed in various locations throughout Japan to enhance interoperability and test and refine multi-domain and cross-domain operations.
