Col. Steven Anderson, former 688th Cyberspace Wing commander’s wife, Angela Anderson receives the Yellow Rose of Texas Award from the governor of Texas during his retirement ceremony, July 1. 2021 at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. The Yellow Rose of Texas Award was conceived during the term of Governor Allan Shivers and is given to honor Texas women who have demonstrated outstanding volunteer and community service. Lt. Gen. Robert Skinner, director of the Defense Information Systems agency and the commander of the Joint Force Headquarters- Department of Defense Information Network, presided over the ceremony.
