210628-N-CT127-0124 SAN DIEGO (June 28, 2021) - Vice Adm. G. Ashok Kumar, Indian Navy Vice Chief of Naval Staff, and senior staff from the Indian Navy, tour the Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine USS Annapolis (SSN 760) while in dry dock, during a visit to Submarine Squadron 11 in San Diego, June 28. Kumar’s visit highlights our mutual intent to improve the interoperability of the U.S. Navy and Indian Navy in the area of Underwater Domain Awareness (UDA) by discussing and demonstrating UDA capabilities, operational units, training commands, and acquisitions centers.
