During the FTX, the cadets trained to combat against an OPFOR (the opposing force) to test their reaction to enemy contact based on the skills they learned in previous training iterations during Cadet Field Training. On the last day of the FTX, they transitioned to squad-level defense and performed exfiltration maneuvers with a total of 16 aircraft (above) carrying Class of 2024 cadets and performing an air assault movement from Landing Zone Bull to Landing Zone Owl on June 23 at Camp Buckner.
