The view of a stream passing over a falls en route to a remote base camp in Thua Thien-Hue, Vietnam. The Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command recovery team deployed out of Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, for more than 35 days searching for evidence of two Americans listed as missing in action during the Vietnam War. The ultimate goal of the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command, and of the agencies involved in returning Americas heroes home, is to conduct global search, recovery, and laboratory operations in order to support the Department of Defense personnel accounting efforts.
