SAN DIEGO (July 8, 2021) Capt. Sean Rocheleau, left, commodore of Helicopter Sea Combat Wing Pacific, pins a Meritorious Service Medal on Cmdr. Jeffrey Schwab during a change of command ceremony at the World Famous I-Bar courtyard. During the ceremony, Cmdr. Kyle McDaniel relieved Schwab as the commanding officer of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 23. HSC-23 effectively employ MH-60S helicopters and MQ-8C Fire Scouts on deployed Pacific Fleet warships providing capabilities for Anti-Surface Warfare, Special Operations Support, Personnel Recovery and Logistical support.
