Albanian Army Capt. Egluent Rika briefs members of his team before beginning a combat convoy simulation exercise at Joint Base Dix-McGuire Lakehurst on July 9. More than a dozen soldiers from the Republic of Albania armed forces trained in a New Jersey Army National Guard virtual reality combat simulator. The Albanian soldiers are training in the United States for two weeks as part of a longstanding partnership with New Jersey forces as part of the National Guard State Partnership Program, a Department of Defense program that links National Guard forces from U.S. States and territories with member nations around the world.
